(A1200) Chinon FZ-354 Floppy Drive is spinning randomly

When I use the A1200 in workbench I sometimes hear the floppy drive start and stop spinning (couple of seconds). Further more, with this floppy drive connected, a particular program I use will crash and report "Software Failure - Program Failed (error #80000003"). Wait for disk activity to finish."

The above does not happen if I connect another floppy drive. I have tried this with another Chonon FZ-354 that I have. I have also tried replacing the cables and can confirm these also look to be ok.

Anyone knows what the issue might be?
Anything I can do to repair it?

Edit:
Just want to add that this does not always happen and the drive reads and writs floppy drives ok.

Could be the diskchange switch reporting spurious disk changes - the drive in my A4000 does that..

Have had this happen to me in the past. My only conclusion is it could be a capacitor on its way out in the drive and may need replacing.

Opened it, gave it a good clean up, but still did the same thing. While opened I could see two capacitors with both being through hole. However one of them looks a little more complicated to reach and work with than the other. Will try removing, buy replacements and re-test.
