Worlds most simple VGA card

Wasnt sure if it was best to post here or in Hardare section as there are no Amiga featured

Very interesting videos from Ben Eater

How to build the smallest most basic VGA card
a 10Mhz crystal, handfull of logic gates and a ROM!
a DAC featuring 2 resistors!

Im looking forward to followup videos featuring this,
some SRAM, a faster clock and some BUS logic would turn this into a working VGA out

I have been watching it myself. I lot if it has gone way over my head, but it has been so very interesting to see the core theory behind the electronics.

You have both parts of the Simple VGA video!

I saw the first part of the 2 part video episodes a couple of weeks ago on YouTube and was fascinated by it. I get all the way to the end and WHAT ??? he didn't show how to send the data out to the monitor. I saw this thread and was happy to see that there is 2 parts. I will have to watch part 2 later in the week. Great find!
