Shadow of the beast 1 incomplete "skeleton" music

Hi,
Oh this is a question and also a request i have since a looong time lol
As you already noticed that, when you die in Beast 1, just after the main sprite becomes a skeleton, there is a nice short music (8 notes of music precisely if i am not wrong) just before the beautifull game over screen loads. In my cracked version i played 20 years ago and in all the adfs i tried nowadays (on my real A500), the 2 or 3 last notes of music are lacking. So i ask a question and also a request : does someone knows a 100% version ? It is the only problem i noticed concerning the cracked versions, all the rest is perfect, i finished the game 20 years ago (without cheating he he). And if there isn't a such version, i launch the idea : what about cracking at last at 100% one such legendary game ? I know that it is just for 2 or 3 notes of music but i am sure that many guys here will be agree about a such request . Simply because this game is cult

All depends which version you had. The Paranoimia version had problems on the death sequence, whereas the Vision Factory version was fine as I recall.

Bingo.

The best crack will be of no effect if the disk used for transferring to an image was knackered.
BTW: Best example for me: the (IMHO actually perfect) Twinworld crack by Quartex. Until TOSEC collections became widely available, the non-knackered disk image with the SAME crack had been rare as hen's teeth - seriously. Over 90% of disk image "versions" from that crack would show garbled graphics in level 2 (woods). Took me years to get hold of that 100% working one.
(For reference: CRC32 = A8AB8E34)

Bad disks are common - Deep Core, Sword of Honour, Deliverance and many more.

Oh thank you Andreas for the Twinworld information.
I have the original disk and it is still one of the best (if not the best) game of the genre for me What a marvellous game, with a such wondefull ambiance...
I will transfert the Beast disks this week end and write the result here
Many thanks as always^^

The bad twinworld also crashed at the of the game, one you walk across a bit, it dies, once the "boss" was meant to appear.
PS, I loved the music in twinworld.

TwinWorld - Land of Vision v1.0 (1989-10-22)(Ubi Soft)[cr QTX][a3]
If you're using the latest TOSEC set (available on the file server).

Yay, that's the very one
At times, you're only going to find your entire luck in an [aX] image (with X > 2), rather than in the non-alt versions
The fact that old TOSEC sets do not have it in is another proof for the awfully long time it took to be finally discovered and get included

Twinworld can be copy with x-copy if you know the sync word used.

also to note, flashtro made a crack + trainer with twinworld. You'll find it in the zone.

Perfect he he
Thanks my friend ^^
And thanks for posting the disk in "The Zone!", i will transfer it !

I transfered the Band t+2 version of Beast 1.

All 8 "tum tum" lol so it is perfect on this point but... when u're selecting the trainer (skip intro on/off, infinite lives on/off or both i don't know), the ingame music is too slow.

If you're playing without cheating it is perfect, excepted that the screen becomes black loading the game over sequence before the end of the "tum tum" music. I tested it on WinUAE and the screen becomes black after the 8 notes but i don't remember if i loaded the normal or an alternate version (a, a2) of the Band disks... I will check this again... Yes it is a detail but i am a man of details lol )). And especially concerning a such cult game^^.

So another question : i can't do that right now, so anyone can test the Band disk with trainer ON and confirm that the ingame music is too slow (i have a PAL A500) ? Is someone can check the alternate Band disks to hear if the music is ok when trainer is ON ?

Thanks a lot in advance !
