New game - Ooze: The Escape!
Hi all,
As you might already know, Andy Johns and I had a while ago joined forces to bring his excellent Spectrum game Ooze: The Escape to Commodore 64. We are very excited to announce that we have now also ported it to Amiga! Get it from: https://h4plo.itch.io/ooze The C64 version was already vastly improved compared to the ZX Spectrum, and the Amiga version will be adding even more enhancements, such as:
Press "S" during the game to switch between music and sound effects. There was a lot of stuff we couldn't do on C64 due to the platform limitations which we were able to include in the Amiga port. Help Ooze navigate through various corridors and laboratories, using its gravity-reversing powers to overcome obstacles and avoid the robotic guards in an attempt to escape from this dangerous subterranean complex. Collect keys and insert them in the computer terminal to disable the force-field and gain access to further areas. Can you escape? Credits:
Note: Some older versions of WinUAE (such as 4.9.x) seem to emulate sprite-background collision detection incorrectly. If you experience any issues please upgrade your emulator. This was a lot of hard work and a true labour of love. We hope you will enjoy playing Ooze: The Escape! |

This appears very well made. Graphics are great and music nicely follows the smooth gameplay.
Well done to you both on creating this! You might want to consider releasing as a box set for C64 and Amiga... |

Easily one of the best Puzzle-Platforms you can now play for AMIGA, in my opinion superior even to the much vaunted WORTHY. Compelling and challenging, but not in an unfair way. HAPLO now only CAIM remains to be ported to AMIGA.

I also really liked the music in the game. Even though it loops it kept me entertained. It's a pitty In the title screen it's credited as unknown music composers. Last edited by ransom1122; 27 August 2023 at 14:57. |

I confirm the game cannot be played correctly with WinUAE 4.9.0 as you cannot get anything while moving over .

Already an Amiga version? You're too fast, I'm only halfway through the excellent C64 conversion!

I have to report an issue : if during the game you turn off the music by either pressing "s" or "m" after some moves, ooze (and the game in general) start to crawl (big FPS drop). If you turn on the music again, everything return to normal speed (Using WinUAE 5.0.0.0 x86).
It is like if you have a loop that is linked to the music player ? |
