Nice pickaxe
Both could be really nice on the Amiga

I voted for Double Dragon, but Wonderboy would be nice to as isn't released for the Amiga.

I also like Final Fight and most other games to hard to vote

Are you referring to DaemonClaw?? it has gorgeous graphics..

Maybe they'll have enough RAM in an A500 with 512kbChip+512kbFast to have animations and enough movements for fighters.

It looks incredible!

No way man!

Gameplay has nothing to do with arcade version (or snes). No grab move, reduced combo moves, no way to avoid hits from few npc's around you.
It's really, really bad.

Graphics don't bother me (perfectly Ok as it is), but gameplay is so different then arcade, it feels like you play some other (awful) game, not FF.

to improve FF you'd need to get hold of the original code / reverse engineer it.

I understand that McGeezer didn't want to do that for Bombjack. It went well. Unsure how a fighting game would. Or Pacman (the Z80 disassembly of Pacman has been well documented and Ghost behaviour too, of course there's always the increasing difficulty depending on the levels, relative speeds, ...)

First of all game is cuted and reduced everywhere. Not only graphically (reduced colors, less details), but also by quality and quantity. Enemies just appears on main field, not out from doors, etc. There is less objects (crates and barells, weapons and other bonuses, etc), less enemies, less details in gamefield and background.

Second, that one button system is horrible. Overally gameplay is little rigid when compared to other versions (except of course 8-bit ones).

For me it's same case with Shinobi and Final Fight - both games should be better for Amiga.

Note that I said Final Fight on the Amiga is playable... and I enjoyed playing it with friends back in the day on my A500.

I do agree with everything you guys have written though. Yes, it's not a spot on the arcade version or even the console versions.

...but compare to rubbish ports like "Shinobi" or "Rolling Thunder" on the Amiga that look and play poorly

If something is going to be ported, a game like the original Wonderboy which never existed on the Amiga seems so much more worthwhile.

Original Wonderboy would be cool. A perfect Pacman (like jotd sayd, including the AI) version too.

What I'd really love to see and also play on the Amiga would be a cool version of "Caveman Ugh Lympics". It's a fun game, but the C64 Version is a bit sluggish and the PC-Dos version only uses the ugly pc-beeper sound.

what's great when remaking a game is including mods/extra content, so the game isn't 100% but 200%. I think mcgeezer did that with his remakes.

Totally agree, i really want to give people a reason to play my conversions over the arcade versions via mame, its what makes it an Amiga exclusive and will being people to the platform.

I voted for Gauntlet. Always loved that game and I'd be very interested to see what happens if it gets Geezer'd

It's not on your list but what about a Metal Slug type game?

Just my 2 cents.

I have to agree, and I can understand from your side the best part. is to have some fun with the creation when it's finished which also adds to the enjoyment on our side of playing our fav arcades differently.

Interesting topic in itself for a thread.
I'd like the weapons in FF being replaced with a chicken and a dildo(GTA reference) lol.
You could have Dragon Ninja Beer Edition where the coke icon and sample is replaced with Beer!

Plus or original Cpc? It's a good fit for the Cpc in terms of its capabilities and bright colours

Well, like I said in the other thread, I've been working on that for exactly that reason - the theory of all the AI and the game in general is all well documented so "all" I had to worry about was how to do it on the Amiga. But it will take me a long time and isn't going so well just yet!

If I had my own personal choice then I'd go for Salamander - love this game and the C64 had a decent version so how amazing would this be on the Amiga???
