Wallpapers on Amiga 600 ?

Hello , is there a way to put a wallpaper on an A600 ?I have an image in .jpg , what is the format for amiga (IFF...?) and which log to convert the .jpg ?Thanks in advance !!

Yes, the Amiga needs IFF format, but I think you can only use pictures for WB backgrounds on WB3+. Although there may be the odd PD program or two that can do it on older versions of Workbench, I'm not sure off the top of my head what they are though...?

I think you need to use a program called NickPrefs on a 2.x kickstart machine (I assume that's what you currently got).

thank you for your answers , i have an A 600 HD 1go 2mb chip and 4mb fast ram pcmcia with rom 3.1 and workbench 3.1 with magic workbench installed.Can i use the program you say ?thanks!

In that case there's no need to use NickPrefs. Just convert the jpg to iff and use WBPattern from the Prefs drawer.

I think you can simply load the picture into Multiview and just save it out again (I believe it automatically saves pics in IFF format).

ImageFX - and render to an appropriate number of colours as you won't have many to play with on an ECS machine.
