Support for Mediator PCI 1200 in the NetBSD
The NetBSD operating system now includes a driver for ELBOX Mediator PCI 1200 bridges. It is still a work in progress, but already various PCI cards are supported (for example NE2000-compatible network cards and SATALink 3112 controllers). The driver was developed using information obtained through reverse engineering.

Once the next build of NetBSD completes, grab it from http://releng.netbsd.org/. This site hosts developer builds of the NetBSD (so it's not guaranteed to work for everyone, it's not a stable release).
See "Daily binary snapshots" -> HEAD -> date -> amiga There's INSTALL.html document. Read it, install according to instructions . Out of the box you'll be able to use ECS/AGA for video output or many Zorro cards. To use Voodoo 3 you'll need an additional WSCONS kernel, which currently isn't built automatically. Configuration file for this kernel is present in the NetBSD sources, so it's just a matter of building it. I'll make it build automatically soon. You may want to check the official NetBSD/amiga site and documentation site. Last edited by strim; 27 June 2012 at 23:15. Reason: clarification |

I assume you would have to be running NetBsd in order to use these drivers?
