This is the FINAL FIGHT we SHOULD have got back in 1991. Amazing work.
I know its been discussed but there are some bugs. I tested WhdLoad on Amiga 1200 with 030 CPU. 1. Some graphical glitches 2. The timer does not seem to work correctly 3. I could not figure out the quit key in Whdload 4. Not really a bug but the AI of the enemies is a little too easy especially if use turbo fire button. Other than that this works flawlessly! Thank You |

It does make me appreciate a bit more Rich's port from back in the day tho. Considering how much work and time and expertise was put into this awesome version, I am thinking that while this is the version it would have been great to have had back then, there is zero chance we would have had a version this incredible back then. Just wasn't going to happen... I am so glad we have so many great coders working on these things now. ;-) |

3. By Default the WHDload QuitKey is F10. (you can define another one) BUT, the QuitKey does NOT work on the First screen (This is a Fangame... ect) So you have to press the Firebutton at least once The other point are in PrototronĀ“s Hands. (but i thinks he needs a well deserved brake; i mean, can you imagine how often he must seen it; and beating up the same dudes (and Roxy) over .. and over .. and over again So i think, even as it is, its GODLIKE compared to the US Gold version |

I have the impression the game might be playing too fast on my A4000 CSMK2 060 /50 setup. The game is of course definitly faster than the original, but the intro text goes fast and the music seems a bit faster than playing the mod of the intro "lost in time" with Hippoplayer.
EDIT : WHDLOAD quitkey doesn't work at all for me, i need to reset. |

This is an amazing achievement and a massive improvement of the original so well done Bricknash. Works well on my A1200 and A600 via whdload and the ADF works nicely on the A500 mini too.

@ Calabazam
Do you run it from the Workbench or the CLI ? If ou run it from CLI, make sure you also use the CHIPNOCACHE argument. (its essential on 68020+) Like this .... WHDLoad Preload FinalFightEnhanced.slave ChipNoCache Hope that helps you. PS: the newest WHDLoad exe also can help. (beta) http://whdload.de/whdload/whd190.lha PPS: I have no idea why the QuietKey wont work on your setup, Sorry Last edited by Torti-the-Smurf; 30 January 2024 at 03:17. Reason: adding the PPS |

Re the speed. It runs a little fast on my A1200 with 030 accelerator 50mhz. Maybe I need to set an option as I run it from WB. |

Finished on MiST fpga (core Minimig 24-01-23) with Chipram Speed setting for Turbo (about 3 mips) and the game worked properly.
Many thanks to Prototron and Torti-the-Smurf for the good WHDLoad slave. |

Glad to hear folk are enjoying it.
Sorry I can't accommodate every setup, but heroes like Torti, Jotd, and others in the community will likely come up with clever ways to satisfy most rigs. It's unfortunate that so many machines have the Amiga name, and that gives the illusion of universal compatibility when they all have different quirks and levels of power (and bugs) that don't always agree with each other. Newer software and hardware emulators just add more variables to that issue. The game was designed for an Amiga 600, so best to try and match that where possible if your setup allows it (slapping on the most powerful and fastest setting isn't always the best). If in doubt, WinUAE with Full ECS and Cycle Exact 68000 will work. Anyway, I made a few other minor bug fixes, so update your adfs and/or WHDLoad data folder. It's probably best to check the Google Drive folder every once in a while and see if the date on the files has changed. If it has, that probably means I've made a fix or tweak of some kind. Once again, thanks for all the kind support! |

Thanks for the nice words Proto, but i am no Hero !!!!!
My skills SUCK tbh !!! There are some real Heros and Legends here on EAB, like all the Scene Legends and Super skilled ASM & FPGA programmers ! (i dont want do drop names, because it would be a pretty long list and in the end i would stupidly forget a few anyway) Besides, you made also Amiga history with this port , so MAJOR kudos and respect for that !! Respect to all the true Legends ( i suck compared to all of them ) greetings, Torti Last edited by Torti-the-Smurf; 30 January 2024 at 20:41. Reason: better formation, i hope :) |

Final Fight AGA would be good. Next question comes to my mind is Street Fighter 2 proper Amiga/AGA port possible? All I played in 90s were not good any of them

So is there some Whdload setting to fix the issue of Sodom (Boss) stage graphics glitches, enemy energy bar glitches and timer not working properly ? Also Whdload says F10 is the quit key but it doesn't seem to quit, at least not from the title screen.
Aside from that it plays fine, good speed, responsive, controls, sound etc all good. And I would like to thank Prototron and anyone else involved for putting the time and effort into making a Final Fight worthy of the Amiga. Thank You |

There are a few short spots, where the Quitkey wont work.
Like in the first screen (this is a fangame) , the Intro (in cutscenes) ; but thats pretty much it. I cant do nothing about the Rope Glitch. It also happends for me without the slave. (but works in WinUAE) Same with the Clock; it has nothing to do with the slave. I did not test the latest Update yet; sorry |

fantastic game, if this is possible i wonder if something similar like the arcade game Crime Fighters would be doable? i think the sprites in that are smaller? that game used to murder my spare cash in the arcades.
