3D Boxes in HOL

As anyone who has been to Mache's lovely website will testify, seeing Amiga Game Boxes in glorius 3D is a real delight.

Now...i ask the obvious question....how about incorporating this into HOL? Even if only a few had this treatment it would still be a worthy achievement. It could be another search criteria of course.

Fiath seemed to agree. What say the rest of EAB?

I don't think it is a crucial fonction, but if the team has the will and time to do this, I say "Why not... ?".

I guess the only problem with this is all the sides of all those boxes that are missing...

If you had that, it shouldn't be all that hard since the same piece of VRML can be used for each box of that size... But you may still need to generate it or something because of the "texture" file names...?

But if it doesn't make it into HOL, it is still planned to be a part of CAPS...

But I can't get the 3d plugin to work in Mozilla Firebird .

You should be able to use any VRML plugin, but the recommended one is by far the best.

Hmmm, I don't see it as required feature. Would be nice but is not necessary. Even though I like those 3d boxes I'm not sure if I would use this feature in HOL. That's why I voted to pimpabitchslap Fred

Well from the look of things, id say that peeps here think things should be left as is with 3D Boxes being associated with CAPS only.
