Forcing PAL 50hz display with ATI mobility Radeon X1600
I own an Intel Mac Book Pro with an ATI mobility Radeon x1600 with dual boot Mac OS X and Windows XP.
I connected my TV via a DVI-Svideo link and I can easily choose between 60 Hz or 50Hz on the mac side. On windows side I only get 60 Hz. My TV is correctly detected but I can't force 50Hz. So here is my question how can I recreate the "mac" PAL 50Hz resolution in Windows. It seems Powerstrip is able to create custom resolution and timing but I have no idea how to set it up. Did anybody tried it before? PS:I am using the latest catalyst drivers and windows update.... |

I found this web page
http://ryoandr.free.fr/english.html and used this setup for powerstrip 720x576 50hz (PAL) PowerStrip timing parameters: 720x576=720,42,72,134,576,3,28,18,15125,41 it was a bloody nightmare but it works fine. Now I am having an issue with the Sync in WinUAE. I keep having a line parsing the screen from top to bottom. I am not sure where it comes my driver, or WinUAE. But I have a doubt about WinUAE since the LED Display keep changing between 50Hz and 51Hz. Any suggestion? |
