wow!

Wow, thanks alot! Finaly i get my hands on it, its kind of a speciel feeling playing those first games you ever played. Don´t remember so much about butcher hill, just that me and my friend played it alot on his older brothers amiga 500 (old 1.2 rom thing..) and that we never made it longer than to the jungle part..

Thanks again!

I know what you mean. There's even some old games that really aren't that good, but I still like them just because they take me back to a certain time in gaming. Toobin' is one of those games for me. Memories can often transcend taste!

yeah..

...but it kind of the worst thing. When you haven´t played that game for like 10 years and you´ve painted this picture of how cool it was and what splendid graphics it had and then when you finaly get your hands on it you can´t grasp what was so fun with it at all....

Some games i always come back to is eye of the beholder, the whole ssi goldbox series, hired guns, supercars, lotus series, alien breed, turrican II and some more. And they all are just amazing... Quake III and the other newer games doesn´t even compete in the same game as these....

The problem with modern games is they are here today and gone tomorrow. They don't have that special something that makes you even want to return to them. But if you do, that magic was never there, so it certainly won't be there. Retro for PC games means CGA and EGA color palettes. Yeesh!

It's much like most music now a days. It's also some of that Here today gone tomorrow stuff. At least I think so.

Upped alternative crack of Butcher Hill

FWIW, the version uploaded is a very common version.
I uploaded a (to my knowledge) quite rare crack of this game which is, AFAIK, non-TOSEC.
