keyboard shortcuts to menu

Good evening,
i like to use Octamed Soundstudio and learned that there are a lot of external scripts, most of them are executed via keyboard shortcuts.
Is there a way to assign this shortcuts to a menu icon, just to run these with a mouseclick.
Thanks and regards
Matthias

add shortcuts to existing menu options that for some reason dont have the shortcut added or do you mean adding extra custom menu entries to a/any program so you can select a menu entry which you can configure to set off a specified keyboard shortcut?

Personally ive only seen Menu Extension programs/hacks for Workbench itsself rather than other programs, but then again until now ive never actually looked to see if such a program was ever made before.

Can those functions be accessed using ARexx? If so, there are probably button bars out there that can do it by assigning a short script to each button containing the required commands. Using an ARexx GUI library is also an option in that case.

yes, i mean to add extra menu icons.
There are some tools on Aminet like toolsmenu

I don't know if tools exist that can hack the Octamed menu bar but maybe some start-menu, toolbar button tools exist that can be redirected on Octamed screen. Or redirect Octamed screen to WB where you can launch more or less everything. I don't know if Octamed commands will work this way but ARexx stuff should work.

There is this http://aminet.net/package/util/misc/FakeKey

Which probably can be used in combination with an IconX script or anything that adds something to the menu.

There's also another tool with the same name available here http://thomas-rapp.homepage.t-online.de/download.html
In the "Bedienung" category called fakekey.lha which might be better.
