Question Content of WinFellow website

I'm quite new to this board, and i'm not sure if this is a valid thread for asking you guys a question, but here it is:

What kind of information would you like to see on the WinFellow website?

Currently i'm doing some thinking on what should be on the pages, but i'm wondering what you all think. I put this list together:

1. download of WinFellow (duh)
2. information about installation
3. information about the use of WinFellow
4. news about current development
5. contact information
6. a frequently asked questions section (FAQ)

Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance

You've pretty much covered all the bases there

A known bugs/issues section might cut down on your "This doesn't work" and "The sound is crap" emails.

Of course what the site needs is a link to the here

This is hard to think of what else is needed, as Ian said

Idears

Maybe Have a link to EAB. As you don't seem to get much feedback at the sourceforge board as the user has to register to be able to post, maybe you could ask RCK to have a winfellow sub section setup here. (Just a thought)

It would be a good idea to have screen captures of the GUI of winfellow with arrows for a step-by-step guide for beginners or the FAQ.

That's all I can think of at the moment.

More ideas

FAQ could do with bookmark links so the user can click on the question and jump to the answer. Also with a back to top link and screen captures.

Maybe have a watermarked background with the Winfellow logo and remove the grey background, as I find black on grey hard to read.

Maybe some config files to download - thinking of beginners.

The left frame width needs a slight adjustment on 800x600 screen resolution.

Maybe have a links page.

That’s it, hope this is of use.

Sure, in your WinFellow dir there is a file called "whatever.wfc" just open it with an editor and you will see

That would be great!
Maybe it would be a good idea to create one if a new release or snapshot is done. This way more new problems would be addressed, instead of known old ones. Also, when a new release would be done, the team would be more active and more likely to respond to questions and problems. Agree?

Yes. Get rid of that stupid sourceforge-forum. Registration and usage are too complicated.
I must agree, the forum isn't used much and in my opinion, this board is much, much better.

Noted!
The next background color of the WinFellow website will be white.
The frames aren't tested at lower resolutions, should be fixed in the next version.

Also configuration loading and saving in WinFellow is possible, but it's a bit primitive and inconsequent. Should look into that sometime

Thanks for all the feedback! It's really usefull!

Ian: Fixed one of your quotes, it wasn't me who said it, 'twas Paul

Just remembered ALE already has a step-by-step guide at.
