Angry Monkey Island WHD cant load his saves! help!

Hello,
im wondering if anyone have same problem.
both monkeyisland games make save position, but when i want to load it next day, it always says "Reading unknown struct 0 from saveload" and it quits to WB

Please help me someone!

same problem on A1230/50 or A2000/14
wb 3.5, 2.1 so maybe thre is a some bug in game itself or in slave.

hmm

I could be wrong but do you have a folder called data in the monkey island dir?

ofcourse, and i can see savestate files:
savegame._a_
savegame._b_
etc


i can make save, but not load, thats the problem ( and i cant play it at one strike

(it works if i didnt QUIT from game between save-load!!!!)


can anyone try it????

1. launch game
2. make save (F5)
3. quit game
4. launch game
5. load previously saved game??

I've tried it. No problems with saving & loading the game. I've finished both Monkey games month ago with no problems. Have you tried several versions from Monkey Island.

Just tried with german MI and it worked flawless.

It could be that your Version is a bad one.
Or you might need to add a delay for reading/writing to HDD, some Filesystems dont immediatly begin to write, so it might be possible WHDLoad switches back to the Game before everythings written.

i have only English versions, so im testing those
save from WHD version cannot be readed in regular version too - same error

so there MUST be some error while WHD games saves to hdd

im using 16.4 regged whd and original games...

those from killergorilla packs have same error

I had same kind of problem with KG:s WHDload installation of Bloodnet, expect that it asks for save game disk altough it even doesn't recognize any disks inserted..

i got the same error message "Reading unknown struct 0 from saveload" with a quit to WB. The savestates are corrupted. I guess you should talk to JOTD because he has written the installs. Maybe he has a hint for you.

i works if you dont play too much, when im atd shopkeeper and have peppermints form this point it cant save

You could test your gameversion with ScummVM. If the load & save works with ScummVM the game can't be corrupted.

Have you tried it without your Turbocard enabled? Maybe WHDLoad has problems with it. How about the NOMMU tooltype?

and testing is time consumptive thing
two hour of playing for one save which doeznt work, and again ang again

im not that crazy!

it will need some killaga buggy hacks etc etc ...



ive beat swordmaster and get the idol in non whd version (on a2000) and that damn save still works in whd ver.

The only thing you need to do to get the game running from normal hd install, is to enable original chipset in the early startup menu.
