There's also "ModPlayer", available from usual repositories for Jailbroken phones with Cydia installed

I found the one on Cydia, looks like it works.

To be honest I was hoping for one which links into a central database like the sid player but i suppose there is no central database for mods..

Why the feck he didn't use UADE rather than libmikmod! Then all modules, exotic and normal would work.

Even though it might not play all the formats, it does look pretty cool.

alexh: thank you. I cannot tell you how much it helps that someone ELSE out there questions why using mikmod (the library that can't play mods properly.)

And yeah, I don't know why I haven't tried to compile it on the ipod touch. Add it to my list of things to do. I'll try to get some time to do that, because, quite frankly, uade should be on there and we should demand that mikmod be burned.

I'll start: Mikmod should be BURNED.

The thing is that UADE isn't a piece of cake to compile on other systems than linux (or win/cygwin). I tried... and failed. And I didn't find anyone else that compiled it for windows either.

I know. Believe me I do. I would not have mentioned it unless I thought it was very feasible.

The iPhone OS is built on Darwin Kernel just like MacOS X and so has strong ties to Unix/Linux.

There is already a MacOS X port of UADE making things even easier.

Hi,
take a look at a new Module Player. It's based at the libmodplug library and the sound quality is awsome!

Module Player works great on iPod & iPhone (all versions) and comes with full access to the modland collection:

An Update to V1.0.1 is available. It fixes a crash on certain mods.
