wii chip for swap

hi i got a wii chip lying around doing nothing and i expect somebody might want it so if you do,i want something to do with a cdtv that would be nice

this chip only supports the first couple of wii,s though so will only work on old wii,s not the 1,s with the tracks missing or glue on the chip.

or for a denise chip for my cdtv .

its a Wiikey Wii Modchip .

It's pretty worthless, even when they were new they only cost about $14

I don't mean to be rude but doesn't Bannerbomb make all these hardmods redundant?

we are now at 4.1 System Menu, and softmodding works fine ... IMHO if they wanted to kill softmoding they would do it in 4.0 or 4.1 ...

Bollox! Sweetie, darling.

4.1 wasnt a System Menu update it was a bug fix for Wii Sports Resort

And they DID kill softmodding when they released 4.0 and took out the Zelda Twilight hack. It was many months until Bannerbomb was discovered.

It wasnt a:

"BOLLOX YOU ASSHOLE"

it was a

"heh heh, where did you hear that? Total bollox mate, total bollox.".

I've edited my post and counter acted the hostility with a camp luvie follow-up. How can you be hostile if you're camp eh?

And my point is that tomorrow it may not be, unless you have a drive chip. Or are very cautious about updates.

I am sure drive chips on the wii will have their time once again, either that or everyone will need a copy of SuperSmashBros.

i installed a d2sun with a wiiclip in my cousins wii console and my experience wasn't a pleasant one. The pins on the wiiclip didn't make great contact with the drive and kept losing the connection causing the console to switch off or the dvd drive to not work at all till the clip was reseated. In the end we gave up on the clip and soldered it in directly.

WiiKey's were easy to install but you'd be hard pushed to find an Wii which will take one these days. It would have to be a second hand box, 2006 or early 2007.

Plus the WiiKey firmware is nolonger developed with 1.9s being the latest. I *think* they cannot handle the latest discs (don't they get 02 error?)

But I dunno cos I went USB a long time ago.
