Odd sprite behaviour in Zool ECS
I fired up Zool today for the first time in years, and whilst it was perfectly playable, the main character sprite was odd at times. Best described as flickering when moving, with artifacts around it. I've seen Zool 2 AGA has known issues with slowdown but can't find any mention of problems in Zool 1 ECS. A few people on the "Commodore Amiga" Facebook said they'd experienced similar.
Configuration : Whdload 18.3, no launcher Amiga 500 + ACA500plus + ACA1221 unlocked (64MB FAST) KS 3.1, WB 3.1 2MB chip (trapdoor ram mod + DKB MegAChip) IndivisionECS (also hooked up via rf modulator, same behaviour) Slave + install from the latest set on eab (not the killagorilla one) NoAutoVec set in prefs. Power supply showing stable 5.01V at accelerator. Any ideas / suggestions? Is this one of those Blit Wait things? |
