Options for Adding RAM to 1200 ?

I have a stock 1200 and would like to add some RAM.

Just wondering what the options are that I can actually buy now.

I've seen the accelerators on amikit and vesillia but they are rather costly.

Any other available sources for just RAM or lower cost accelerators/ram?

SRam cards which are cheaper, but for not alot more $$$ you can get an ACA1200 with 128mb

SRAM will actually slow down your A1200, but will at least provide some fast Ram. However for the same price you should be able to pick up a 4mb/8mb trapdoor Ram upgrade, sadly they're not in huge supply and the ones on eBay are usually at over inflated prices making the ACA's great value.

Check out Amibay.com as a few have sold there recently <£50

Just save the money for the cheapest ACA 1220. It may take a few more months, but it will be well worth it. You are going to get a ton of RAM, and a slightly faster CPU. This should make AB3D super playable.

Yeah, trap door ram are pretty rare... ACA is the way to go... but for not alot more you can get a bit of acceleration...

I made the mistake of wasting £50 on a trapdoor ram board and then buying an accelerator later

Guess your all right a accelerator with RAM makes more sense.

What about these 'timing' issues with the current ACA models I see reports of.
Seems some have to end up hacking/modding 1200 for the accelerator to work
and think the old models are better?
