A Captive Audience
You've probably played one of Tony Crowther's games; perhaps his sci-fi RPG epics Captive and Liberation or one of his lighter games like Captain Planet. Amiga Lore traces his gaming output in this article.
The full interview is here. |

Nice article.
One thing i'd like to know is did Tony Crowther also go under the pseudonym of Tony McGarry because both the WHDLoad installs for Knightmare and Captive were done by the same person. |

Two interesting things: - 418+218 = 666 - Apparently, the winner - John Millward - was to be credited in the game itself. But as far as I could see he was not. |

I'm quite sure that Tony McGarry and Antony Crowther are 2 different persons. Reason for the WHDLoad installs is probably that he liked those games and hence made patches for them.

It took Phil Douglas to do the only 100% crack of Knightmare, everyone else got defeated by it. I could be wrong of course, but i'm not convinced |

Yes, I know that these games (especially Knightmare) weren't exactly easy to crack, however, I'm still quite sure that these are 2 different persons as I googled both names before replying here.

Thanks, that will make an interesting trivia note in the HOL entry of the game.
Would you happen to know in which issue the competition was announced? I guess it was an issue relatively close to issue 37, but it will save time if I don't have to browse through all the pages of the ACE scans. |

The simple layout is just due to my complete lack of design skills!
Next up is an article about Magnetic Fields. |
