I tried Blood wad for zDoom
It is this : http://blood-wiki.org/index.php/Blood_TC it is developed to zDoom. It doesn't work. It starts but gives hundreds of errors until it quits. Also tried with Boom as Amiga OS4 uses prBoom to that wad. Tested both AGA / RTG and with Blizzard 68060 / Apollo 68060 Does anyone know where I could get older version wich works with plain Doom II engine? |

I would like to see QZDoom ported to Amiga. Even without OpenGL, if it support RTG and the scripting, it would allow playing modern doom mods.
I play Project Brutality and it is awesome on PC. Would be even more awesome on AmigaOS. |

Hi my friend...long time, no see!
For real 68K hardware without OpenGL support then you really can't get much more than old ports of zdoom and odamex running well. Even Boom struggles a bit on an 060 with some of the more demanding Doom wads. |

Unfortunately you are right, the Build engine is a bit too much for vanilla 060 CPUs with AGA. I think even the PSX port of Duke Nukem 3D used the GPU to scale and shade individual strips, similar to how the 3dfx version of Blood and Shadow Warrior worked. Blood is also much heavier than Duke, but at least it has a cool physics and particle effects. On RTG it might be able to run at a playable speed.

Uploaded Wolfendoom AGA to the zone, based on BOOM because it is the only one supporting DEH files. Have fun.

I decided to update my old BOOM port to support RTG again so that I could try it on my MiSTer FPGA computer and also removed the requirement for FPU (now runs on pretty much anything with FASTRAM).

Looking good - is there a download as I'd like to try this on my V1200 and now that the summer holidays are here in the Uk, I have a bit of time on my hands to try out the capture card I found in a charity shop for £6!
The ultimate question is would the Alienbreed 3D mod work on Boom? |

Nope hadn't heard anything. If it doesn't work on either the pistorm or WinUAE with 3.2 then I would have to assume that the problem is with 3.2 Make sure you are using the updated doomsound.library which was patched to work with 3.1.4 http://aminet.net/package/game/shoot/DoomSndLibs373 https://forum.amiga.org/index.php?topic=73946.0 [ Show youtube player ] |
