Small suggestion re floppy drives
There are quite a few places that software could be downloaded for free with nearly all offering varying availability of ADF files.
One problem I've had happen twice now is forgetting to write-protect a floppy disk and have it die because of [accidental] writing to it. Any chance of a "master" write protect tickbox somewhere to override the separate write-protect options? |

You can find not changed adf somewhere in WinUAE folders ('saveimage' or similar).

Not sure what you mean there?
I know you can set the read only attribute of a file to simulate the write-protect tab but it's not quite the same. One accident and a disk could be lost! |

WinUAE make copy of adf if you write something, so disk couldn't be lost because you still have copy of disk image without any changes on it. Sorry if my poor english make it hard to understand.

No, it would create too much confusion for existing users and taking backups is easy. Or just put them inside archive
 btw, "saveimage" is only created if disk is not writable because it is inside an archive or non-writable format (ipf, fdi etc..) AND write protection checkbox is unticked. |
