HEY! What's that!
Does anyone have a screenshot of this one?
I've never seen this version before...Super Tetris yes, but not this one...

yes, both would be nice
Wonder if I can find a difference between the Mirrorsoft and the SH Tetris one except the screen mode (NTSC/PAL)...

Is the screen I posted from the Mirrorsoft version? I didn't even look carefully, but I can see it's not the Spectrum Holobyte version. I'll send that one up in a bit. If you have seen that Rude Tetris hack, it's basically a hack of the SH version (only with nudes instead of Russian architecture). Probably the worst Tetris there was...

My screw-up. I didn't have any screenshots from the (US) Spectrum Holobyte version. I'll up my copy, which is the one seen below me...

Thanks for this one - very appreciated! :bounce
Take your time for KidPix ... nice if you still find it, if not ... anyone else might have it.

// EDIT: I found it!
Two versions of the game are already in TOSEC, but they've got a a completely different name ...!!
(Note: Your version differs anyway because the title screen is NOT "polluted" by the DEFJAM signature.)"

Amiga Tetris (19xx)(J. Steele - K. Seghetti)[cr Defjam - RedSector]

Anyway: your version is a fix, too!
The US version is supposed to work on NTSC only, isn't it?
But it works on PAL settings, too, so it appears to be a fixed version.

OK. I know I have it, time has been my enemy lately, which explains why Tetris and Lords of Doom disk 2 took so long to up. Generally, I don't like to up something unless I check it first and can at least attempt to put a TOSEC-style name on it (for informational purposes, as well as taking the workload off the TOSEC team...)

Ya know, I started to check my TOSEC files under that name, since it could easily be thought to be the name (but it isn't...). I wish I could remember where I got mine from, but back in the day, this version wasn't that uncommon (although I'm glad the copy I got was not ruined by DefJam...I hate when they do that shit!)

It certainly worked for me in PAL in WinUAE without a hitch. But sometimes games will go both ways. In any case, it's not a very intuitive implementation of the game (I hate Tetris played on numeric keys, they should all support the arrow keys, IMHO).

I have KidPix, which I dumped for Twist. I still have disk 1 and 3 on my HD but will need to redump disk 2 of this children’s art package. Do you want me to upload these?.

This version is:-

KIDPIX by Broderbund Software
Electronic Arts
(c) 1991, 1993 Broderbund Software, Inc and Electronic Arts

Thanks, Paul...I uploaded them. Once you said that, I remembered where I had them on my hard drive (along with some other files you sent for me).

Incidently, I have been uploading these files over the last couple of days with the newest Opera update v6.02 and they seem to be upping with no problems, so you Opera users will want to grab the newest update. And the %20 stuff was removed from filenames again (after I harrassed the author to death about it!)

And if you're into this kinda thing, there's also a new update to WinMX, although I haven't used it much, but the new update is quite a big change from the last version.

Could it be The Dream Zone?
Well, the DZ did have the game for sure, found under 'A', given the (incorrect) name Amiga Tetris.

So would you, too, agree that the names should be changed to

Tetris (1989)(Spectrum Holobyte)[cr Defjam - RedSector]
resp.
Tetris (1989)(Spectrum Holobyte)[cr Defjam - RedSector][a]

...?

Yes, those would be the proper names (which is the same naming convention I used for mine). My copy was in DMS format and came from my old days in the warez scene.

What scene are we in now? I think it needs a name. Let's see:

ROM scene ()
ADF scene
old warez scene
resurrected warez scene
new old stuff

???
