Help multiscan monitor problems!!

I am considering buying a sony trinitron multiscan 420gs monitor to use with my amiga, as I have only used a television in the past and it can be quite annoying to say the least not to have access to some of the better screenmodes. My only concern is that I'm not sure if this monitor will be able to display the amigas native scrren mode that plays the majority of floppy games. Does anyone know if I can run this monitor without a scandoubler and still play all my old games? Thanks in advance

I think the only Sony monitor that can display 15kHz modes (old amiga native ones) is Sony Multisync 3D . I have seen the cousin of it Multisync 3FG (looks almost the same) and it doesn't work - can only sync to 30kHz and up

Don't you mean NEC Multisync 3D and 3FG?
I have a NEC Multisync 3D.

I meant - the "3D" CAN display amiga 15kHz modes, but the 3FG doesn't display them. I don't think that the trinitron model is able to sync so low either... I haven't seen any other Sony model apart from 3D that can do that.

AMIGAZ is right, you mean NEC multisync 3D, not Sony.

Ouch, yeah, I mean NEC multisync 3D. I have no idea how this slipped my mind. Sorry. A friend of mine had a NEC Multysinc 3D on his Amiga yeeears ago.... and I tested this Sony Multisync 3FG a few months ago and saw it doesn't work, so I just assumed his was Sony too. Sorry again...
