Pc 2 Amiga problems!

Hope someone can help me!

I am trying to send files from Pc Windows 7 to my A1200 030 16mb ram and workbench 3.** something.
I have a parallell cabel wich i found together with my old paradise softwear for amiga, but i cant find any programs for the pc to use to send files to paradise.

I have also tried Amiga Explorer but i cant get it to work.

Should i try something new?

BTW: I managed to send 1 file by pure luck, with another pc program but that was pure luck and it took forever. 1mb took 3 hours! So the cabel should work at least.

With an A1200 you could easily buy a PCMCIA network card. You've got more than enough RAM to run a TCP/IP stack. Wired ones to look for are 3COM 3C589 or for wireless Netgear MA401 then you could use Amiga Explorer and enjoy a higher speed.

Or if you plan to transfer a lot of files, perhaps a PCMCIA->CF adapter + CF card + USB CF card reader?

Welcome!

As Alex has suggested, a very quick and easy way of transferring files from a PC to Amiga is the EasyADF PCMCIA CF Transfer Kit:

To use the 3Com card you will need the 3c589 SANA network drivers, a TCP/IP stack and possibly the CC Reset patch (hardware or software), plus an Amiga FTP client such as the excellent AmiTradeCenter

Hmmm!
That dosent sounds so easy for me! I dont wanna get stuck in the basement with my a1200. Is it the same procedure with wireless Netgear MA401 too?

And the transferkit look easy, i saw both videos, but couldent see any transfer of files, just adf to floppy. And when i put the CF card into the pc, will the pc see files on it when it is amiga formatet?
And in the video they show a worbench floppy disk, i dont think i have that;-(

BTW: Thanks for quick replays;-)

Can you format & write 720Kbyte floppy disks on your PC?

If so all you need to do to use CF card on PCMCIA port via an adapter is to transfer the driver & FAT95 file system to floppy disk, transfer to the A1200, read the disk using PC0 (crossdos which is part of Workbench 3.0) install them to your IDE hard drive and bingo you'll be able to plug the CF card into the PC transfer files like a removable hard drive and then plop the card into the Amiga.

Dammit! I hate when points go to Hewitson

USB floppy if nothing else, or is there some other problem I'm not aware of with that solution?

That sounds hard to do, i can get a cf card and and PCMIA CF Card reader. I i think the kit comes with amiga drivers, but after that, i still dont know how to transfer files from the pc 2 amiga?
Can i just put the card into my pc and put some *.lha files on it and the put it in the amiga and the files will come up?

I AM A NEWBIE!

So are u saying that EasyADF can send any file to the amiga, regardless size and fileformat?
And can i just put the CF card in the pc first, and drag files to it and then put it in the amiga and copy the files with dopus from the cf to my internal amigaHD

Thats exactly right- you are restricted by the size of the Amiga compatible CF card but you can transport any file type across to your Amiga.
