Recommended Amiga Games for Young Children

Hello everyone,

After setting up my Amiga 1200, my 7 year old son wanted to play some games on it. It was the first time he had seen a Joystick (rather than a console gamepad).

I remembered playing Bubble Bobble when I first had my Amiga, so I loaded it up and we played 2 player. Both of us enjoyed it, and the following day he asked to play it again.

My question therefore is, what Amiga games would you recommend for young children?

Thanks
Adam

Do you want the games to have a two-player mode or do single-player games would also fit?
By "for children", do you mean "easy to understand"? "without any form of violence"?

You could try rainbow island and parasol stars to keep in the Bubble Bobble state of mind.
Dynamite Dux is also a nice idea for a cartoony beat'em up.

Dynablaster/Bomberman could also do.

Thanks lilalurl,

Looking for games that are
- Either single-player or two-player.
- Easy to understand with minimal violence.
- Fun to play!

Regards
Adam

Pinball Dreams/Fantasies/Illusions and Slam Tilt could be good choices too.

Lemmings could appeal also.

Bob's Garden - its around 90k of pure fun - for children of all ages.

Its basically an Amiga version of Mr Do.

And it has a WHDLoad patch.
