Game Giveaway of the Day, today
Here's a cool site.
>>> Game Giveaway of the Day <<< Every now and then, we get a few hours to download and install a full game, for absolutely *FREE*. What's the catch? You *have to* do it (download & install) in the Active Giveaway time left. Sorry I've not informed about when the awesome Jets 'n' Guns GOLD came out, but methinks today's Giveaway of the Day - Planetary Defense is pretty cool too. Watch out for new releases! |

Planet Defender is a nice little game. It's a very clever advertising idea. If you have missed a release you might buy it
Thanks Shoonay for another time waster |

@R-N: Sorry, only the installed game, no installer. The installer would be useless anyways since it checks the net if the "evaluation period" is expired or not.
You'll have to try the torrents or somewhere... |

Yeah, they tease you and wait till you miss a game you like. And then the trap snaps shut
Btw : Anyone else annoyed by the installer trying to add 'valuable' features to your browser |

@TCD: hey, you're scaring off customers here
@Andec: nope, it's really not like it just adds those to your browser, but it asks if it can... that's all, really... it is annoying, and requires 3 extra clicks (2 options to unselect & ok button iirc) after the installation, but... well... you know... some games are worth it Last edited by Shoonay; 14 July 2008 at 14:49. |

That same site does software also, and you have to install on the same day - that sucks. If it is yours to keep, what about when you have to reinstall your os. Many people have to do that, and now they have lost it or any work to go with it. Not worth the trouble to bother installing to start with. Plenty of options to get the same forever if needed it.
Now if it did let you install anytime, all the softwares and probably games are crippled. More so softwares, no updates, no support and other such things. Fair enough but to cripple the software by not installing on a day you want to or after os install-reinstall is a joke. |

Tough, but that be the rules
Either be quick about it or pay, if you want to legally get that classic game, or... use the non-legal way. That's more choices then in the new FallOut 3, believe me. Also, I *think* the game could be easly copied with all the folder's contents to another computer and you could still play it. You know, the site is merely something like a free advert, and a way a to get a few bucks out of those oldies for the developer (or whoever runs it), not the one and ONLY way to get them. |
