The FTP are being hammered by Russia again. Blocking all of Russia in the firewall for the time being. If you're in Russia, toss me your IP or use a VPN to another country. China is currently blocked as well and have been for some time as they just don't give up.

Having issues i was downloading hottest5.iso and then got kicked.. telling me password is wrong.. password is any
i was almost done 44min left as download is limited to 50kb
now i can connect but when i try to resume the download it tells me 2 things.
only 1 connection.. i have only 1 connection.. and 2 password is wrong.. i'm using any as it says in the forum on page 1.. as i said i was downloading
i'm in the UK not russia according to myip: IPv4: 90.240.162.127

it was working perfectly until i ironically opened up this FORUM to read new posts.
copied this from the top of filezilla

@andy2004: If you're using the anonymous "ftp" account, that's what happens. You're limited to a single connection, and after a while of being connected you'll be temporarily IP banned in order to allow someone else to connect with the anonymous account. Since you have a post count greater than 50, why not just create a proper account?

I did have one.. then someone cleaned it and removed my information as i hadnt uploaded in a long time.. and i cant remember what it was after all 3years is a long time. I can still see the files i uploaded mainly fredfish, and about 6 others. LSD tools 1 etc.
in filezilla i set it to use 1 connection.. it says connected but when i choose to download the last part of the file.. its just telling me password incorrect. yet allows me to connect using that password.

hottest5.iso 563,421,184 bytes downloaded.. before being kicked.. @50kb download speed.. according to the app i needed 45min to finish.. ah well.. guess i can also delete the file and start again another day.. when the F*ing russians/chinks stop hitting it.
Only downloading cause the previous iso was screwed due to using http and no resume and thinking it was downloaded fully, finally get time to check out the files due to the LOCKIN / coronavirus and it turns out.. filesize is WRONG. half the files show up as empty.. havent downloaded any files from the ftp in 2years.
my info was stored in the flashfxp config file but as i deleted that years ago as i stopped using it.. and stopped uploading and download via ftp..
i had to download filezilla first.. i know my username is the same as it says on the left.. its the damn password i cant remember if its still there

I can not find any user named andy2004 on the FTP, so just register a new one using that name instead; https://grandis.nu/eabadduser/
If you havent used it for years, odds are it was for the old FTP and its long gone (folder in ~uploads might still be there and you'll regain access to it when you register a new account)

Then use that account and you wont be limited to 1 account (Registered gets 2 at the same time) and no speed restrictions.

The error you are seeing indicates that you are still on or someone from your IP is at least. If it thinks you're on but you're not, give it a few minutes to allow it to time out. But yeah, this only applies to the anonymous FTP account which you have no reason of using.

Glad to hear it, and 580k/sec is a lot better than 50k/sec =)

Sure, in the root is a filelist.zip file. Its updated every 24h.

i'm sure your server has a load of duplicates on there, ,aka the same cd's but named differently or iso and someone used mdf etc or .bin

@akkudakku: If you have cool stuff to upload, you can just PM Turran about it and he'll probably set you up with an account early. Of course, if you just want to leach, you'll just have to deal with the anonymous account or use the GDrive mirror.

I've seen new members get to fifty posts in one week... it's not much really.

Alternatively use the Google Drive until you get to 50 posts.

Sorry for the late reply, haven't checked EAB for a while. I fixed the eab_post_count.py script so it works with both Python 3.x and 2.7.x.
