[DEMO FOUND] Attack on London / Siege on London (c) 1988 CRL

Look in the zone.

This is what I've just found amongst my old backup stuff.
After doing some research, I found this game to be unreleased.
But IT MUST BE THE CRL GAME FROM 1988 without a doubt!

Disk name is 'Attack On London', executable file name is 'sol' (= Siege On London = U.S. name!).
It looks like a preview or demo, also because of the well-compressible size.

Might this even be another freebie giveaway from an Amiga magazine on a coverdisk?
(The One, CU Amiga ... ?)

Should be put in HOL, I think.

Nice finding? Well, in the meantime I got to know that Cody got the very same image as well ... I think it has just been forgotten about by HOL.

And ... Unplayable? Definitely true! And not even 20% finished either
For example: if you crash so often that your damage meter goes to 0, you can keep crashing along without problems
I couldn't get the thing to lift off either. ALT = altitude, so there must be a way to take off somehow

Maybe because it´s a demo ?? I will hunt for hex code maybe, so we´ll hopfully see if there IS a key for lift off

The up and down cursor keys are used to lift off and land, the alt meter remains at 0 regardless though, other movement is done by holding down the right mouse button and moving it in the direction you wish to go.

And that was the first, and last time I will ever load that 'game' again

Well I have done the compare and it seems they are identical :/

It has been sat on my HD for months, strange thing is the filename I have it is : AttackOnLondon (1)

Now when I have 2 games in my non-tosec with the same name I usually add a (1), (2) etc to the filename if the filename already exists!

So I reckon I have another copy of it on my HD somewhere.. I'll have a peek about
