info on trackers and experimental interface support

Hi,

I am looking for ways to control trackers and other music applications in unorthodox ways, on my Amiga500. I plan to use microcontrollers to control the qwerty keyboard in order to use DIY interfaces for performing.

Like hooking up this:

with a microcontroller that can simulate usb qwerty keyboards.

Where can I find info on trackers with midisupport? Could there be a way to use a standard midi interface and on the Amiga end reroute the midi input to qwerty input?

I am not a demoscener so I really do not know what is out there, I need to find out if similar projects has been done. Where are the masters of these things hanging out?!

Please (re)direct me to a place where I can find out about stuff like this.

Protracker 2.3 has limited MIDI input capabilities. It accepts notes from a MIDI keyboard, one of lower MIDI octaves also works as transport control (play/pause/stop etc.).

This info can be found in PT.HELP file of ProTracker 2.3:

Midi routines in ProTracker 2.3d are still very limited. Midi in should work ok, though. To activate midi, you'll have to turn it on on the setup1 screen. Use the three upper octaves on your synthesizer to play notes. Some keys in the lowest octave can be used to play/stop/record etc.

I have tested it, and it works.
