Would Scorpion engine be OK for Rolling Thunder conversion for OCS?

I have asked Eric a while back if only 512k Chip is supported and he said yes so that isn't an issue I don't think, 512k Chip/512k Fast, which is important as I am using an Amiga 1000 with 2.5mb RAM (no space for an A500, not sure if I have a 1mb Chip A500 anyway).

But would a 32 colour game with no parallax and just the arcade sprites be OK? I've seen some impressive stuff but the videos are usually recorded on A1200 spec even if they are not AGA graphics so I am not sure.

I did some 32 colour mockups of the 128 colour arcade backgrounds and sprites via HAMconvert and they actually look quite nice with no copperlist or anything. So I thought it might be a nice project to do a half/one level silent demo just to get used to using this great tool.

But I was wondering what slowdown is going to be like, I don't want to redraw all the sprites etc. Smooth 25/30fps speed on 1987 spec A500 machines with 1mb total RAM would be fine, doesn't have to be 50/60fps etc.

Probably a summer project or something to have time to mess about with Scorpion Engine, just curious.
