Mega Giveaway
I used to be an Amiga user. I have an A1000 (processor accelerator - 2meg expansion, MFM HDDs - phoenix ctrl), 2 A500's, a Bodega Bay expansion system with 4 meg expansion & HDD. I have over 1000 floppy disks, over 1000 titles. Large collection of books, user and programming.
I forget exactly all the specs, but the stuff worked fine when I last turned it off about 10 years ago. I am cleaning it out and if someone doesn't want this stuff, it's going to a dumpster. It's breaking my heart to throw it away. First come, first serve. BUT you gotta take it all. Send E-Mail if you're interested. I'm in northern California. |

Any chance you'd ship to a gal on the East Coast?

I know it would be a waste! That's why I'm trying to give it to a good home. I have 2 500’s, one 1000, a Bodega Bay expansion system (for the 500s), 12 100 disk cases full of floppies. There is a large box of books and another large box of extras (CA Access drives, digi view digitizer, video gen-lock system, phoenix MFM HDD Controller and two 40 MB MFM HHDs).
This will cost a small fortune to ship, especially the floppies as they are very heavy. Still available to a good home... |

You want them to reach a good home, I sympathise with that. On the other hand, only the people caring about these old gems will pay for them. Why not split it up, I'm sure people would be happy to pay worldwide shipping. That way you'll make more people happy and they'll end up in many good homes
I'm sure there are quite a few who would be happy to have the disk collection for preservation, if it's original disks or some hitherto unknown stuff in it. But a good home and one with space to put all that stuff doesn't necessarily coincide! So couldn't you split it up, at least in a few chunks'o'stuff? |

So far I have no local takers. All this Amiga stuff is still available to a good home, free of charge. When someone claims it, I will post that it was claimed. For now, it's still available.

I'm happy to say that I've found a great home for my Amigas. Robert of the Fresno Commodore Users Group will get the whole lot. He's local and will be by to pick them up.
My apologies to those who wanted them, but could only ship. I guess this is my official good bye to the Amiga world... it's been fun. |
