I'd like the set of Amiga reference manuals really... But I know that's gunna be a popular one.. And my hardware development is not going as quickly as I'd hoped at the moment, but I can probably get a lot of what I need for that online anyway... (Zorro busboard for CDTV, CDTV 020 expansion, etc)
Failing that, I am interested in these 3: 68000 Assembly Language Programming 2nd Ed, McGraw Hill 1986 Fundamental Concepts, Introductory Problems, Advanced Topics, Software Development, Instruction Set & Appendices. Includes 68010 and 68020. 468 pages (softback) & appendices. MC68000 Assembly Language Programming 2nd Ed, Edward Arnold 1991 I've run out of steam and can't be arsed to list the contents. Lots of stuff including 6850, 6840, 68230, 68681, 68000, 68008, 68010, 68020, 68030 and 68040. 266 pages (softback) & appendices Programming the 68000, Sybex 1985 Basic Concepts, Architecture, Instruction set, Simple Programs, I/O programming, Advanced concepts, Exception processing, Case study: a sample operating system. 417 pages (softback) & appendices as I was about to try and track down some 68000 and 68040 asm books But if I can only have 1 of those books, I'd prefer the "McGraw Hill" one Last edited by BinoX; 16 July 2008 at 00:45. |

Well, as there has been no major competition for any of the items, my task is easy!
@Cosmicfrog PM me your address, and the intuition manual shall be yours. I'll let you know how much postage will be once I know where you are @Binox I've just had a look through my e-mail archive, and I don't seem to have your address stored, so PM me your details, and I'll send you the following: 68000 Assembly Language Programming 2nd Ed, McGraw Hill 1986 MC68000 Assembly Language Programming 2nd Ed, Edward Arnold 1991 Programming the 68000, Sybex 1985 I'm coming down to Cornwall on holiday next week, so could drop them off for you if you like (I know you're busy with work, so posting could be more convenient for you). I'm going on a Longbow making course over two weekends at Bodmin. @Zetro I believe I have your address on one of your finely printed postage labels from some goodies that you kindly sent me. For you, I shall send: Amiga Hardware Reference Manual, CBM Inc, Addison Wesley 1986 Newnes 68000 family pocket book, Butterworth-Heinemann 1992. Still available are: Motorola MC68000, MC68008, MC68010/12 Programming pocket reference guide, Motorola, 1986? Instruction Set, Condition codes, effective address 124 pages of goodness, the size of a coffee coaster. Microprocessor Systems Design: 68000 Hardware, Software and sytems design, PWS 1987 68000 CPU, memory, exception handling, systems interfacing, I/O, buses. 597 page Reference book. The 68000 Microprocessor: Hardware and software Principles and Applications, 4th Ed, Prentice-Hall 1999 Systems, Software architecture, programming, hardware architecture. Also includes seciton on advanced programming using 68440 Dual DMA Controller, 64851 MMU, 68681 Dual UART, 68230 PI/T, 68901 mMultifunction Peripheral, 68153 Bus Interrupt Module, 68881 FPU. Also has (short) sections on 68008, 68010, 68020, 68030, 68040 and 68060. 441 pages + appendices (another ~200 pages of datasheets, schematics, etc.) The 68000 Microprocessor: Hardware & software principles & applications, 3rd Ed, Prentice Hall 1996 As above, but an earlier revision. No info on the 68060. 404 pages & appendices (around 120 pages of datasheets etc.) Amiga Rom Kernel Reference Manual: Libraries and devices, CBM Inc, Addison Wesley 1986 Written by Rob Peck (various contributors) Amiga Rom Kernel Reference Manual: Exec, CBM Inc, Addison Wesley 1986 Written by Carl Sassenrath, Rob Peck and Susan Deyl If there's no new interest expressed in the RKRMs (ie from anyone who hasn't already got dibs on one or more books), I'll play some sort of dice game to decide who gets what, as both Binox and Cosmicfrog have expressed interest. I'll leave it for a few days before it comes to that though, to give those weird people who DON'T log on to EAB every day a chance to see what's available. Regards Rich |

I'd like the remaining RKMs if the others don't mind too much:

@cosmicfrog: I've been thinking today and I'm just being greedy. I've already got a complete set of v3 RKMs. So I'd be happy for the 2 I asked for to go to you or Binox.

@Mushashi
Most civilised of you, I'll leave the two RKRMs for others then if that's OK. Update: Additional book for Binox: Microprocessor Systems Design: 68000 Hardware, Software and sytems design, PWS 1987 For Rkauer: The 68000 Microprocessor: Hardware & software principles & applications, 3rd Ed, Prentice Hall 1996 For Bippym: Motorola MC68000, MC68008, MC68010/12 Programming pocket reference guide, Motorola, 1986? The 68000 Microprocessor: Hardware and software Principles and Applications, 4th Ed, Prentice-Hall 1999 That just leaves: Amiga Rom Kernel Reference Manual: Libraries and devices, CBM Inc, Addison Wesley 1986 Written by Rob Peck (various contributors) Amiga Rom Kernel Reference Manual: Exec, CBM Inc, Addison Wesley 1986 Written by Carl Sassenrath, Rob Peck and Susan Deyl I'll leave these available for a few days, and if no-one shows interest (who hasn't already got one or more books on offer) I'll divvy them up between Binox and CosmicFrog. This is quite cathartic; I've just spent an hour going through my boxes of books (which I carry around from house to house when I move, and never unpack due to lack of shelves) thinning out the collection. They'll be going down the charity shop this weekend I also came across my copies of Stroud's Engineering Mathematics and Advanced Engineering Mathematics - classic! They'll be going to work with me tomorrow to sit proudly on my desk. I've been having to use Glynn James until now, and it's style just doesn't suit my way of thinking at all. Too many over-worked examples, not enough theoretical explanation. Bleh! |

@BippyM
You only in Derby mate? I'm in Sheffield, but I'll be setting off to Cornwall next Thursday (I'm taking 2 days just for the drive - I like to go the scenic route!). I could drop the books through your letterbox if you like, save a bit of postage. If you're in during the day you can repay me with a cup of tea |

Sorry for the delay in sending the books out - after getting back form holiday I've had a fairly hectic time catching up on things.
I did manage to drop Binox's bagload of goodies off when I was on holiday - pity you were at work, your Dad seems like a nice guy though!. After getting caught in the Helston one-way system gravity well, it took me a while to reach escape velocity to get out again though. I'll try to get the remaining books boxed up/sent out this week.
