New 4.1 install

Hi

SO I've managed to bet OS4.1 installed in WimUAE, and everything boots correctly. I do have a few questions.

1. I cant get the resolution to load correctly

2. If i try to add my PC hard drives it wont boot

Any help would be great

The only major difference in your config and mine (os4.1F) is your harddrive is being assigned as dh1: and not dh0:
Can't help you with the PC drives as I make it a rule not to add PC drives at startup.
If you are manually adding them make sure to uncheck bootable.

Disable JIT. It can cause side-effects in PPC-only config. It won't affect PPC speed.

ROM -> Board type (at the bottom of panel) -> Indirect 128k. This enables UAE expansions (including directory harddrives). But only use them for data transfer purposes, performance is not that good and it can randomly hang.

Harddrive device name is only a placeholder when using RDB hardfiles.

That worked and I can boot correctly, but I cant see the directory I've added?

Do I need to set in a certain way?

Sorry, but I have a question. Does it matter which version of OS 4.1 one wants to run with winuae? I just read that it only works with 4.1 classic. Is that right?

That is correct, 4.1 Classic

Yup, Classic means that it runs only on clasic Amigas (Amigas with MC680x0) with PPC card (Blizzard and CyberStorm). WinUAE is only for emulating MC680x0 Amigas.

NON-Classic AmigaOS 4.1 runs on AmigaOne, Sam4x0 and some other PPC machines which don't have MC680x0. Those machines machines are not MC680x0 Amigas and WinUAE don't emulate them.

Not the classic 4.1 with update1-6 where in practice you can't do anything about it. (even if it works equally but is very limited)
