A chink of light? Gateway 2000

I took it upon myself to contact Gateway about the status of the Amiga kickstart roms & other IP.
Specifically would they be able/prepared to put the above on free public release. Roms ( poss inc sources ), other IP if they felt inclined. Maybe as a positive PR exercise to the Amiga & 'retro' community at large.
Here's the reply:

I know it's not much, but it's polite and isn't a 'NO'.

Dear Gateway 2000

I offer $1,000,000 EAB dollars in exchange for all the Amiga ROMs to be released as freeware to the Amiga community for the rest of time.

Ps. For an extra $2,000,000 EAB dollars would you please get Tony Soprano to discreetly bump off Bill McEwan. Thanks.
