The funniest thing you've ever seen on an Amiga

OK people, describe the funniest thing you've ever seen on Amiga.

I can't think of one off-hand so would be interested in your comments. A lame attempt is maybe the photographer in the game North & South, the trousers in IK+ or the muppets/Rolf Harris Cartoon Club themes towards the end of the demo Jesus on E's. My memory is fading with age, I am sure there was funnier things.

As long as it appeared on a TV/monitor and/or was heard through speakers that were connected to a Amiga or Amiga Emulator then it is eligible. Of course, it has to be funny !

So wether it is part of a game, a picture, a sound file, some music, part of a text file, a demo or whatever..... as long as it was (and for extra kudos still is) funny then please mention it.

When I first got my A600 I tried to format my first floppy disk with low-level format in HD-Toolbox.
DOH! (I was only 12 at the time).

Actually I'd like to change my story.

Just thought of something.

First time I saw my mum using my computer. Handling the mouse. And the confused look on her face as it reached the end of the table yet she still wanted to keep moving it.

Mum: "Errrr....what do I do now?".
Me: "Pick it up and move it"

And then my mum preceeds to pick up the mouse and move it in-air left & right (like a kid playing with a spaceship) yet looking at the screen and wondering why the pointer wasn't moving !

Playing Hunter (non AGA fixed) on an Amiga 1200 and the 24 bit addressing means you get funny messages like "You do not require another house" when you try and walk into it!

Also on Hudson Hawk when you leave the joystick where you are and the piano comes down and kills you - quite amusing

I had an immature cheap laugh at the mock demos released by UK group Share & Enjoy when they were at war with Freestyle UK... if memory serves, the best one involved a two-frame animation depicting an "Atari ST lover" demonstrating his affection for said machine coupled with a deliberately jerky scroller and ancient music from a 1986 HQC intro. They also offset the bitplane pointers so the whole screen rolled from time to time to make it look extra cheap and nasty.

10 points for anyone who can remember the amusing pun on "Freestyle UK" though I doubt anyone here even knows what I'm talking about :-)

You probably had to be there at the time.

There were other parody demos, but thousands of days have passed so memory has faded. But, yeah, always enjoyed those.

lol! Oldies who arent used to using computers/games are hilarious to watch. I gave my dad the pad for a go on Gran Turismo. He actually moves the pad from left to right in the air! Also watching a mate of mine play anything 3D. He actually shifts his body position trying to see around corners!

lol - I always wondered what was going on with those messages. I remember getting 'The you says "This is French one"', and 'You have destroyed a you'.

The Three Stooges game was pretty funny:

The toffs : "We want our pies and we want them now"

Stooges : "OK, let them have it!!!"

Not very interesting fact - the Amiga has a cameo with this game in Lethal Weapon 3 which was on telly the other night

StormLord's game over screen was very funny, but I believe only for me. They directly used the classic painting, death of marat which I was asked in the MA entry exam
