Some programs need more stack then given default value. Especially ports from linux using ixemul.library. Unfortunately, sometimes the user has to deal with manual setting stack values. Ghostscript is a good example of a large stack: http://www.whoosh777.com/index.php?txt=1#startup

For the developer there are different solutions for handling stack. In best case the user hasn't to care about stack.

Agreed, typically the user wouldn't care about stack size. I've been testing the apps (albiet via emulator) with default shell stack size (4000) and all seems well. It could be that I needed a big stack for the compiler, and mistakenly copied this setting into the product release Startup-Sequence. Looks like I'm moving ahead using the default.
