Joe M. - I'm not really clear on what all is left to be done. It sounded like this project stopped at level 5. There are only two maps on HOL. I also see the partial map on imageshack (only one link worked for me). Now when I start reading backward through the thread there is some sewer level mentioned which I know nothing about. Anyway here is a map of level 5 before I noticed other maps might be missing.

It definitely would be really cool to have complete maps of this game!
The areas are quite large and can get pretty confusing at times... I've been thinking of doing a longplay of the PC version sometime (did one of the Amiga version ages ago), and maps would really help as I've totally forgotten the path to take in the levels
I guess I could just watch my own Amiga longplay but maps would be better... and I'm not sure I took the optimal route in that longplay, either.

EDIT - clenched, that's really cool, thanks!
Two more maps I can think of off the top of my head here that are missing are - inside the building you see started to the very right in your map there (it's a building housing flying dinosaurs), and the area on the other side of that building.
Also of course the sewer section you mentioned (which is really confusing and pretty much has to be mapped out in order to solve it... I've usually made simplistic maps in MS Paint or on paper while playing), and the ones between level 2 and this.

Also, thanks again to Joe Maroni for working so hard on this!

I will probably just start all over. Here is the level 4 map. The stegosaurus tail is missing. Its body is actually made of tiles but since the tail wags it must be a bob or sprite. We'll just make believe T-rex bit it off and let it go.

Their tails do indeed wag in a very annoying manner, I'm not sure how not to get hit by that actually.

Really cool, this is the first time I see an overview of this level like this, thanks!

I compared your map to this one and it isn't bad. Now is anything missing from the start of game to the second part of level 5?

Really cool, you'll soon have gotten everything now!
I think there is one more missing from earlier in the game - there is a section after you leave the JPAGALevel4 map you did earlier and enter another area, the place where you encounter the T-Rex a bit further into the level.

Here is a link to a Youtube video to show you exactly what I mean... I put the timecode to the place just before he leaves this area and enters the one I mean -

Playing these levels has drastically slowed me down. I guess T-rex was still hungry because half a palm tree has been lopped off on this map.

OK. After level 6 the remaining levels either took me back through a part already mapped or a 3D section. I am going to defer to laffer's knowledge of this game to sign off on these maps as being complete. In the meantime level 1 of the OCS game for the Captain.

I'm pretty sure you've done all the 2D maps now, thanks a lot!
I'll probably play through this game again soon and if I see anything not mapped, I'll post here... but I'm sure you've gotten it all. I know for a fact that the last big area you mapped (the one with the visitor center, flying dino area and the other one next to that) is the last top-down level in the game... it's all first person after that.

When I do play it again, maybe I'll add the various items to the maps... keycards, ammo, etc... not for posting on HOL, but just as a guide for people playing.

Thanks for extracting these maps!
Quite useful in this game, it has very large levels!
Also, it's just cool to have a look at the levels like this after having played it through a few times and always just had the very close-up in-game view.

You're welcome.
This is about AGA map
Joe M. - The AGA map on HOL needs to be replaced with this one. The far left two columns of blocks should be at right. I didn't catch it until looking at the Captain's maps . Luckily only a paint program was necessary to fix it. When that is done I have more OCS maps ready.
