Want to put this into my A1000.
Perfect for me, since I just want a super snappy 4 color workbench, and being able to play music over Eagleplayer and otherwise do oldschool Amiga stuff with it.

Well, so it seems it's not that impossible after all...

The PiSTorm which is a similar project I think is more interesting as it has RTG, fast bootable storage and could soon have AHI, Ethernet/Wifi. It will never be as fast as Buffee in raw CPU numbers but makes up for it with peripherals.
I've just installed a PiStorm in my CDTV, and it works great! I can't access my SCSI HDD and CD-ROM drive now, but a future firmware should fix that problem.
However, it seems to run old A500-software just fine; Kefrens Desert Dreams and Pinball Dreams work as they should. As does the old mod trackers, etc. Haven't yet tested much, but compatibility seems okay.

Now, for the fun part - I have roughly 35-40 times the speed of the 7MHz 68K CPU, around 23 MB/sec transfer speed from SD card hdf image, hi res graphics with RTG, wi-fi and 256 MB Fast RAM. :-D
Hopefully they will soon fix the bus issue with the CDTV, so that I can use my SCSI adapter and CD-ROM drive again. Until then, I'll comfort myself with the above improvements.c",)

Unlikely. It's quite a technical challenge requiring in depth knowledge of the Emulator and the PiSTorm adapter Verilog not to mention an understanding of the 680x0 CPU and it's bus.

Otherwise it would have been done already.

Plus the fix will slow down PiSTorm a bit so those that don't need it won't want it
