WHDLoad - How do you create slaves for games

I run the amigaboing.net blog and currently offer downloads of HDF images, and soon to be RP9 files which are playable in Amiga Forever

But some games as I have found are problematic, and I read somewhere many years back, that some hook into undocumented features of the KS1.3 ROM so thats why they have problems running in KS2/3

I would eventually like to just have 1 HDF file for KS3 where I can just
WHDify (is that a word, it is now ) the problematic 1.3 only games

I am new to WHDLoad, and looking around the docs on the website, I cannot find any section which mentions how you create installs for them

Any help would be appreciated, Thankyou

WHDify already exists

It's not that easy to create installs, it requires assembler/reverse engineering/amiga hardware skills.

But there's a thread somewhere here that explains how to use a whdload kick 1.3 generic for DOS compatible games.

And have you checked if the games you want to run don't already have an install? for commercial games it's getting less and less likely.

Um, I guess thats where I would hit a problem, that Workbench1.3 actually needs the 1.3 ROM - So I guess since you cannot distribute the ROMS, thats a no-go

Guess I will keep doing it as KS1.3 and KS3.1 HDF's then

I thought there might of been a way to do it without the KS requirement *sigh*

Thanks for helping

a classic issue http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=84632

One solution would be to check for the roms (in devs:kickstarts) and if they're not there, look for a ROMS: volume to copy them from. This ROMS: volume would need to be created in winuae as a folder, and would contain the ROMS that the users have grabbed from their A500 (or downloaded from the web...)

That requires some WinUAE configuring skills, though
