GEKKO Amiga Emulator- Ive been told by the developer its finished and awaiting playstore approval

https://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=114795

Im hoping it gets over over the line...

The only other option is to install retroarch android version and use the puae core. its fiddly but works..

UPDATE
Heck I checked today and its available

Random but i sometimes run the Redream Dreamcast emulator and run UAE4ALL in that for some games. But mostly use Retroarch. And sometimes vAmigaWeb too.

Here's hoping for Gekko though too.

Those are some amazing phone permissions for an emulator, an emulator that wants to record your mic, find your location and take photos using the camera?.

I use UAE4ARM but not checked if there was an update for a while. Its perfectly useable but the onscreen controller is not very good and iirc cant access an SD card.

Uae4arm supports RTG P96.
It also has a TCP/IP stack

@Retro1234
SD card access is there. You just need to manually type (correct) the path da it. e.g.
storage/emulate/0
I have access to the SD card
If this doesn't work for you, I have a version of uae4arm with fixes and added PARENT button

Uae4arn is the best (fastest) emulator yet developed for Android.

Afaik All those permissions will be removed in next update, there's nothing sinister there, just an overlook. Anyway each to their own. Everyone has different paranoia levels I guess

Yes it's very good considering there's not much...

Now next step fingers crossed there can be adf and hdf support

Bare in mind this emulator is designed for android TV's, so some phones may have some aspect ratio issues. And again for first release it's promising

Can you upload it. Just tried it on my current phone and can't do anything with it.

Here you go.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tjz...w?usp=drivesdk
I am just now using the Redmi.

There is a problem with the access paths to get to internal memory and memory card.
They have to be manually edited to:
Code:
/storage/emulated/0
or
Code:
/storage/0123-4567

Latest version
https://github.com/lubomyr/uae4arm

Button with three dots, after button PARENT (or change manually on the virtual keyboard) to path
Code:
storage/emulated/0
I can make a video of how I do it.

It's ok I got it working..

You have v1.0.4.2, the link you posted on github is v1.0.4.1 (Older) ?

Done some quick ADF & HDF tests

... Crimbo (2023-11-24)(BlackJet)(AGA)[t +3 Flashtro][ZX Spectrum conversion].adf
Quickstart A1200 > Working fine

... Lotus Turbo Challenge 2\Lotus Turbo Challenge II (1991)(Gremlin)[cr LGD][t +6 LGD].adf
Quickstart A500 > Sound is distorted & sped up, even when Cycle Exact is enabled?

... Lotus 2.hdf
Quickstart A1200 >Sound is distorted snd sped up, even when Cycle Exact is enabled?

... Stuntman Seymour (1993-05-19)(Codemasters)[cr SCX][t +4 Flashtro][unreleased].adf
Quickstart A1200 & A500 > Sound is distorted & sped up, even when Cycle Exact is enabled?

... Stuntman Seymour.hdf
Quickstart A1200 > Sound is distorted & sped up, even when Cycle Exact is enabled?

I don't know if it's the emu at fault or the device im testing it on (S20 Ultra Phone)

Well dang it. I forgot to backup my config files and lost them because I had to uninstall the PlayStore version first. And now for some reason any new setup is noticeable loading slower. And I mean reading/booting from an HDF. I might be wrong, but this new version seems to be even slower than the PlayStore version. Which I reinstalled because the new version was also crashing when quitting it.

I hope I can figure out what's going on with the slow hdf reading but if I remember correctly I had downloaded some config files before which I mainly used as base for everything. But I don't know where I got them. And I used them because I couldn't figure out how to activate P96 support back then.

Hmm, now that I think of it, I might have just used one of the ClassicWB config files. Need to try it out tho.

If it weren't for the file access problems in the older version of uae4arm I would still be using it.
This newer version has it fixed, but it's not perfect.

How about we do an action to lubomyr (sending an email) to release a new version of uae4arm working properly with newer versions of Android ?
