PCMCIA Floppy Drive

Hello
Sorting through my father in laws tech gear I have found a Sony Floppy Disk Adapter FA-P1. Essentially a floppy drive that connects via the PCMCIA port but wasn't sure if it is Amiga compatible. Tried searching online but can not really find anything useful as yet. Assuming the biggest issue would be drivers for it or the lack of..
Does anyone have any information or able to advise.

Any PCMCIA FDD I've seen has always been standard PC Type it's very unlikely it will work as an Amiga Drive.

It will have a floppy controller on board, so you will need drivers, which probably don't exist. I am almost certain it will not be IDE/CF compatible. As said above it will support PC style floppy formats, usually 720, 1440 kB an maybe 1200 mode 3. Naturally if the FDC in it is the flexible kind, the driver can stretch it to 2M/FDFORMAT/DMF esque formats that will be quite useless for interoperability.
