Possible CacheCDFS Problem

I've got OS3.9 running OK but I cant figure out why my CDROM device (actually an IDE LG DVD from 2000) wont be seen by CacheCDFS.
The on screen icon reads CD0:Uninitialized.
Under Devs/DosDrivers clicking on CD0 reports Device 'CD0" is already mounted and the CacheCDFS preference program is correctly populated with the required data.

Any help would be appreicated.

thanks

Pete

Have you looked at the mount list ?

Perhaps it is using another device ?

I've installed IDEFix of the Amiga Forever package but for some strange reason when I try to add the registration details, before anyone says I'm entering it incorrectly I know for a fact that I'm not, the entry field of the user key will not accept the final character.

also is your drive a cf card or a 2.5 harddrive

if its a 2.5hd cd rom wont be seen as the 2.5hd is set to master the jumper on the cdrom needs to be set to slave

and the dvd needs to be a full size drive to be set to slave as the slim 1s are hardwired to master

thats why you really need a buffered interface

CF card is set to master and the CD Rom is set to slave.

I have the same set up on my other A4000 except it's not running 3.9. I had no issues entering in the rego codes.
