Amiga 4000 Mediator and Radeon 9200 - Help
Good evening everyone,
I followed the elbox procedure for installing the card in question on OS3.9 with basic 3.1 kickstart. If I do a scan of the pci slots with the PciInfo utility I see the card regularly but from Picasso96 I get a nice NOBOARD. Some advice ? To date I have tried at least a couple of versions of Radeon.card as well as renamed and checked the tooltypes in devs / monitors. I tried both the latest version of the Picasso96 bought from Icomp and the old ones the 2.1b I tried all Jumper combinations with both Open and Closed WINSIZE on the mediator The card is compatible as it is in the Elbox compatibility list with the same VendorID 1002 and DeviceID 5c63. I don't know what else to try; some idea? |

What kind of Mediator, is it a 3.3V compatible Mediator? Is the Radeon card 5V only tolerant or is it 3.3V only?
Does it act any differently when you manually doubleclick the Radeon icon after Workbench is up and then open Picasso96Mode? |

Have you used the mediator config tool? Medconfig version 2.4 is the latest. I always do that after installing the all drivers then I try to add the board in p96settings. I usually test like grelbfarlk says by leaving the radeon monitor in storage and doubleclicking. Only when it is working do I drag into devs/monitors. I assume you know that to add the board in p96settings then you havr to right click and go to add board, it doesn't just appear -sorry if I am telling you things you already know. Mediators are great when they work but a PITA to set up.

I did get the Radeon 9200 I own up and running on my A4000Di rev1.0, so it's most certainly possible.
I would look into the Radeon as grelbfarlk suggested. Please post a picture of it ![]() |
