To compare, screens below are with the old "buffered" adapter.
Notice that is with optimized clock settings on the Dell 2001FP.

The 2 last one are without optimized clock settings, with old adapter and the 'VLR' one, there is a huge difference, more viewable on pics

@DDNI: My posting refers to the technical point, because some people wanted to know what the VLR is, and the seller never explained himself.
So I wanted that the people are not confused by his invented "VLR" naming.
Basicaly any adapter with RGB amplifier will filter vertical lines, and people could purchase these by evaluating the supply and price depending on their own preference.

This is great! I guess this would be ideal for my old monitor that I was using, but fortunately, I now have over 8 monitors that handle 15kHz and do it magnificently without this clock issue.

Optimized clock setting is a must. Check the checkerboard pattern at untweaked clock and see the waves. "VLR" can not cure this type of distortions.

Thanks amigoun.
Will take a closer look. The pricing here seems out of step with other options.

There is a list here :

http://15khz.wikidot.com/

But i've tested some models for example the Lenovo Q24-i10 wich supports 15khz, that's right, but no way to change aspect ratio, so this image is distorded to 16/9, not usable in my opinion. It needs a more accurate list or just check the "Full" 15khz support models, "partial" ones can be unusable

What do you mean with "checkerboard pattern at untweaked clock"?
Where can it be seen?

Well, since almost everyone else went full “MUST DESTROY CAPITALISM”, I will chime in saying that you can get one of these “VLR” thingmabobs built for a few euros using PCBWay’s assembly service using Kinmami’s project files:

https://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=97459&page=11

As always, open source hardware is the way

My VLR adapter arrived. Despite my scepticism, it works exactly as described.

I tested and still got vertical lines displayed. I have to compare with the original DB converter to see if it changes something.

Is there something else to do ? I'm using ACER K242HL.

No nothing else to do.
I’m using a Dell SE2722H.
I think there is a degree of YMMV with screen types.

Which one did you buy, in the end?

I was wondering:
1) those vertical lines can appear also when using a normal RGB cable connected to an LCD TV? For example with SCART to SCART connection.
Or do they only show on VGA LCD monitors?

2) as the above, but using a SCART to HDMI converter?

I bought one early last year. Didn't work and after a few messages where the guy said he was going to try to figure something out, I never heard anything more.

probably works or not depending on the screen type. You have to try to know. Bummer.

Hi there
To date, considering over a thousand devices sold, they have been tested on over 100 different monitors..and more
Do you have a "standard" VGA adapter to say that there is no difference between this VLR and a "standard" one? Or do you see an improvement but the bands persist? I would like to understand why I have never received critical feedback

P.S
In any case from today is ready EXCALIBUR that is RGB to S-video & CVBS converter. Another solution for your Amiga
