Hard drive install real amiga & winuae, please help

Just a quick query, I have got a A1200 with a blizzard '030 mk IV turbo with 32 mb ram. Wanting to put a laptop hard drive 2.5" in the amiga. Have bought one but it is a second hand one that has been in a laptop beforehand and wondered if there was a way that I can get winuae to see this drive so that I can format it and put workbench on it and then from within uae put all the games and things I want on it. Is there any way of doing this? I noticed a couple of threads dealing with something similar to this, but noticed these were new unformatted drive that hadnt been peecee formatted or touched by windoze. Is there anyone who can please give me any advice? Thanks in advance

In one of the winuae document files included in the download it details the usage of a command line switch to disable the hard drive safety check.
Run winuae from a dos prompt with the switch and any hard disk connected to the PC will be listed in the winuae drop down box where you can add a hard drive to your configuration.
This gives you the potential to prepare your PC main system drive as an amiga hard disk, so choose which disk you are going to use carefully when you are running with this option.

Also notice the difference of pins (40 & 44) of the 2,5 and 3,5 ides, you will need a converter or adapter.
