You can use the 3.1.4 ROM with the 3.2.x software and it will work fine. The OS loads the updated 3.2.x ROM modules into RAM on cold boot.

Cheers Jope
Would save a bit of hassle, did always think 3.2 roms were vital for certain functionality, but if not then all is good. |

It saves a bit of RAM to have the matching ROMs, but if you have an expanded machine, you'd probably be copying ROM to RAM anyway during startup.

Have 128MB so should be good to go!
Thanks @RP! I really should have got back in touch about the roms but life and time distract! Will likely just order some new roms in the near future so no worries. |

In regards to 3.2 (3.2.1) upgrading, from what I’ve seen it can be a pain in the Ass! Unless this has been fixed. Would suggest you backup your current OS/Workbench and try it. If not go for a full fresh install Bromigo! Last edited by Leon Besson; 02 August 2022 at 23:27. |

I currently have my 3.2 setup customised how I like it and pretty much everything works. I was going to skip 3.2.1 therefore and wait for 3.3 and clean install?
However, if I have to order a new set of physical roms shortly, would I be OK to put 3.2.1 roms in with a 3.2 setup? |

3.2.1 update does noting to the visuals of WB. Id update to 3.2.1 Workbench as it will run on both 3.2 roms and 3.2.1 roms. I am not sure about 3.2 WB on 3.2.1 roms. Would likely be fine.

3.2.1 ROMs and 3.2 WB work together. 3.2.1 ROMs have a few fixes that you should use.
