Deluxe Pacman request

Hi there, my name is Simon Quincey (hitm4n) and i am currently co-developing Deluxe Pocmon with Edgar M Vigdal for the PC. Some of you may also know Warblade (his remake of Deluxe Galaga) and some may even have bought it !! Well, if you did you may know about the registered users download area for Warblade. It contains many extras for the "payer" including a ready to go Deluxe Galaga zip file for use in WinUAE. I compiled this from the last full AGA version including all docs and music from previous versions.

I would like to compile a similar package for Deluxe Pacman and as many of you will already know, its a bugger to find on the web. Edgars old versions and backups have long gone, so i've had to resort to searching and now begging

Duke in IRC has kindly provided me with ECS versions of 1.1, 1.2, 1.4 and 1.6 and also the AGA version 1.6 (many thanks Duke).

But i've seen mention on the web of v1.7 and possibly a v1.7f ? Does anyone have versions this high ? Are the websites mistaken ? Do you have any knowledge of these versions ? If you have them, can i get them from the "Zone" ?

I have Deluxe PacMan 1.7 AGA 25-Jun-95 19:17:59 uploaded to the zone.
I think it was only a minor update as the manual is still version 1.6.

I'm stil interested in anyone elses findings or backup copies. ECS 1.7 maybe. Was there a 1.7f ??

I have told Edgar that i have acquired 1.7 and that it was a registered version in his own name. He says "yes, thats the last version", one he released with a PACMAN.KEY file in his own name.

Was there a 1.7 ECS release with a key file ? Hmmm, maybe i can just copy the key file to the ECS version and it'll register it. But still, my latest ECS version is 1.6.

If i can complete the package then i will place it, and the one i made for Deluxe Galaga, for all in this forum to grab. In the Zone.

Uploaded to the Zone for all.

Also, as promised, i've uploaded the Deluxe Galaga package that i compiled for our registered Warblade players. Its Edgars last official release, with the last version of the guide, with extra music and includes the better graphics and extra voicepack. A nice little bundle.

I'm still interested in an ECS 1.7 version if it exists, but for now, many thanks to all who helped me put this together.

I know I'm a pain in the ar** for asking for this but all this talk about Pacman has made me want to play Augenblick's Pucman again... you know what's coming ; can someone please put it up in the zone for me ??

I did a search and there was plenty of talk about it and I think someone did upload it - but am I right in thinking that things dont stay around in the zone for long?

I've just uploaded Pucman in the zone.
This should be the WHDLoad demo version installed but i'm not sure! Check yourself.

The page is there but as i type the buy buttons and download are not.
At least grab the demo (when you can) and have a play. I think you'll all love it if you love pacman.

Thank you very much.

I've played v1.6 a lot of times and so I was able to see that there are definetly some changes to v1.7.
At first you can see thet there are more levels and also the colour differ from v1.6. Additionally there appears a nice screen after each finished level.

Btw...does someone have the latest ECS version of the game?

I'm not too sure if that Deluxe PocMon bonus set popped up in the end. I registered the game myself but never saw such an offer for some reason? Anyone else know anything about this?

Still, reading this thread I'm suddenly now in a mood to collect all the different Deluxe Galaga/PacMan versions too! Hopefully they can all be found at various locations on the web right? Or will I have to do some begging and grovelling round here?
