Best app to write .adf files into real floppies?
Hello All,
OK, both on my A600HD and A1200+(CF2GB), when I use ADF2DISK to convert .adf files (games, demos, etc.) 9 out of 10 times, the floppies can not be read back and my Amigas boot into WB instead. When I use DMS to convert .dms files, the floppies do work. Is there another app for converting .adf into real floppies? Thanks! |

There are plenty on aminet. Download them all and try them out, see what you like.
Here's a few: http://aminet.net/search?query=write+adf Get creative with keywords and find the rest. You can also browse the disk/misc directory to find them. I personally use transdisk with the -w option, as I believe that the command line is for real men and GUIs are for those who like to waste time. (transdisk comes with winuae) |

They are complicated to use! Is there any easy one (similar to ADF2DISK)? or at least one with a clear command line?
Thanks! |

What? TSGui e.g. is pretty easy and convenient to use. You couldn't really ask for more.

DiskWiz 0.25 also seems to be a nice one. It is by the same author who wrote TrackTool.

I use Blitzadf on my 2000 and 1200 with no problems and you have to love the GUI If not why use the Amiga I could just boot up a dos computer then
You guys forget the GUI was for ease of using the amiga.. CLI is handy for some things but if you can the same program that uses the GUI life just got better.. Chris |

GUI's have their place. They don't belong in simple tools like these.
