Thanks, killer.

BTW, while googling long and hard for Deluxe Pacman, I came across this hidden link (not available from the main page)!

http://www.warblade.as/amiga.asp

Problem solved, you would probably say with relief, right?

Except the download links are now broken. Each and every one of them.

Fucking AAAAAAAARGH.

Damn...

I'd really like to get my hands on the two archives...

DeluxePacman_A.lha and DeluxePacman_E.lha

it'd be good if JOTD could support them for whdload like he just has for the AWESOME deluxe galaga install!

If he or anybody else does, they should provide new mirrors of the games on their own webspace if Aminet continue to be arses and keep the games offline and refuse to respond to e-mails...

This has actually got me thinking. Maybe I could buy one of those Aminet collection CDs in the hope the games will be archived on there?

Perhaps this one could be a good bet.

A few days ago I hit the Aminet FTP and just downloaded the whole thing.. had no idea it would take 4 days and 25GB!

Now I have to figure out how to archive it.

I'd like to stick up for methodgit a bit here.

Regardless of what the reason, regardless of wether the site is free or not - anything that gets removed or changed should be noted somewhere.

This is purely good usability & good manners.

As it happens I managed to find an aminet mirror that still had the files on it :-)

For once google came up with absolute shite. So I reverted to the MSN search engine which came up trumps (i've never used it before!)

Well, it appears since then that the UKSciFi mirror appears to have keeled over as well. It's often gone up and down in the past, but it's been remaining down for quite a long while now.

So I was thinking - does anybody here own any of the Aminet CD sets? Both games are probably bound to exist on one of those!

I feel the version of deluxe packman that was on an amiga action coverdisk years ago was the best version (much better music )

Actually Fred, this isn't for my own gain - I'm trying to make it easier for everybody here.

We clearly need to provide a more permanent download location for these two Pacman titles as The Complete Internet is more or less bloody useless.

The WHDLoad slave readmes instruct you to download these games from Aminet, when it's simply not possible!

well ive upped the files included on Aminet Set 6c of DeluxePackman 1.7f to the zone if you want to put em anywhere more perminent. Theres a vesion 1.4 included on Set 3c if anyone wants to recover that version as I dont have it. I will adf the AmigaAction cover disk version though as I like that one more then 1.7.
