Question on HD installed games
I'm sure this has been brought up before but the only experience I have with winuae is with loading floppy adfs. And I've read that WHDL is only for real amigas. But is it possible to have hard drive installed games and apps through winuae? This would be great to avoid the whole adf mess.. Is there a guide for this somewhere as well?
Thanks |

Hi Techx,
WHDLoad works very well in WinUAE (I use it that way ). It's a real great choice for playing games without ADF's. Here's are the guides from the Amiga Wiki to get you started : http://wiki.abime.net/amiga:emulation_links_page And here's Cody's WHDLoad FAQ : http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=5267 Once you have set up a HDF file in WinUAE you can look if there's a HD install for your games on the disks. Boot with workbench and look at the disks. It's not so easy as setting up WHDLoad games, so WHDLoad is really recommended for running games on HD (gosh I sound like a fanboy here ). I hope this helps and good luck |
